Gary Parker and Dan Merlo broker a deal that keeps a manufacturing company from moving out of state

Gary Parker and Dan Merlo represented both parties in the transaction in the sale of a 97,000 SF office/warehouse property located on approximately 6.78 acres at 2316 Schuetz Road, in St. Louis, MO.

Pohlman, a long-established maker of machined parts for the automotive industry, was purchased by Ohio-based Metal Seal Precision Ltd. The original plan was to close the plant in St. Louis and move to the Cleveland area which would leave employees at the St. Louis plant without a job. With the help of Gary Parker and Dan Merlo the company was able to find a new home that fit their needs and will keep the plant in the St. Louis MSA when they relocate from 140 Long Road to  2316 Schuetz Road.

In September, JDDC Ltd., a business entity associated with Metal Seal, acquired the building at 2316 Schuetz Road for $3.75 million.

The building previously served as a warehouse facility for Davidson Surface/Air, which had acquired the building in 2010 from former drug maker KV Pharmaceutical Co. for $2 million.
