Brokerage Interns Spotlight: Elise Bozzi and Christian Wolk
We love summer here at Intelica – Friday happy hours, walking to the Hive or Gioia’s Deli for lunch, taking clients on property tours without freezing half to death. But most of all, we love summer because it brings a new class of interns to the office.
Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to host interns for the summer to help in various departments, including property management, marketing and brokerage. This year, we were able to recruit two interns from Mizzou to join our brokerage department during the course of the summer – Elise and Christian.
The two of them worked on projects with each member of our brokerage team throughout the summer to get a well-rounded and diverse first experience in Commercial Real Estate. Their projects included tasks like CRM auditing and management, property analysis, coordination of broker open house events, and preparation of materials for client meetings and needs.
We interviewed Elise and Christian during their final week here at Intelica to reflect on their time interning with us:

What interested you about this internship opportunity?
The opportunity to work closely with CRE brokers and first handedly learn about every little detail of the business. The ability to network and meet people within the CRE world. The education and resources Intelica provided me with during my internship to grow my education for my future career.
What did you work on during your internship at Intelica/what skills did you gain?
I worked on inputting information and data into Salesforce and property listing services. I applied my prior knowledge of Excel, Word, and SharePoint and gained more understanding of each of these programs. I helped create important documents, such as LOIs and Listing Agreements for clients of Intelica.
What was the best part of the internship experience for you?
The information learned from working closely to the brokers and the real life knowledge and better understanding of the CRE world as a business.
What was your experience like working with the brokerage team?
My experience working for the Intelica brokerage team was excellent. I learned different material and saw different working styles from each broker. I was personally guided and taught valuable information by all of the brokers on the team.

What are your career plans?
I aspire to use my education from this internship to pursue a career as a broker in CRE. I hope to graduate college with a job lined up that has an unlimited amount of opportunities. I plan to expand my knowledge of CRE through networking and hard work.

What interested you about this internship opportunity?
The ability to get real world experience in a field I am currently studying.
What did you work on during your internship at Intelica/what skills did you gain?
Helped support the brokerage department with various day-to-day client requests of their industrial, retail, and office portfolio. Assisted in the preparation of proposals as well as listing assignments. I had the ability to work both independently and within a team setting, communicate effectively with higher level executives, and learned the value of time management.
What was the best part of the internship experience for you?
Building relationships with members in various departments and getting a firsthand look into the commercial real estate industry.
What was your experience like working with the brokerage team?
Working with the brokerage team allowed me to get an in depth look of how operations in the department took place. It taught me valuable skills such as effective communication, time management, and learning agility.

What are your career plans?
No definitive plans yet, but this internship has opened up my eyes to a new industry that I could see myself in.
